Who can take part
- You have a suspected or confirmed infection
- You need medicines through an IV (vasopressors) to keep blood pressure at a safe level (MAP 65 mmHg or higher)
- Your blood test shows lactate above 2 mmol/L
- You are receiving norepinephrine (a vasopressor) at more than 0.2 mcg/kg/min
- You can safely have an esophageal Doppler device and a urinary catheter if your clinicians recommend them
