Who can take part
- You are over 18 and have newly diagnosed multiple myeloma that requires starting treatment now.
- You have not had treatment for myeloma before (except limited short pre-treatment like dexamethasone and/or bortezomib and/or cyclophosphamide and/or lenalidomide for up to 4 weeks).
- Your general health is good enough to do study visits (ECOG performance status 0–2).
- Your blood or urine test shows measurable myeloma disease at screening (for example, certain levels of M protein or abnormal free light chain results).
- Your blood counts and organ function are within required ranges (enough hemoglobin, platelets, neutrophils, and acceptable liver, kidney, bilirubin, and calcium levels).
- You must be able and willing to follow strict birth-control and anti-pregnancy rules, and you must agree to the required REMS program for lenalidomide (Revlimid).
