- You are age 18 to 65
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 24.0 or higher
- Your recent blood sugar tests fit a prediabetes range (HbA1c 5.7–6.4% or fasting glucose 6.1–<7.0 mmol/L, or 2-hour glucose 7.8–<11.1 mmol/L)
- Your weight has been stable for the past 3 months (no more than 4 kg change)
- You can sign informed consent and agree to take part
