Radiation plus or minus BMX-001 for advanced rectal cancer

Who can take part

  • You have rectal adenocarcinoma confirmed by pathology (lab test), and it’s stage II–III cancer that needs treatment before cure (total neoadjuvant therapy).
  • You must be an adult (at least 19 years old for Nebraska).
  • Your general health score (ECOG) must be 0 to 2.
  • Your blood and organ tests must meet minimum levels (enough blood counts, liver tests not too high, and kidney function adequate).
  • You must be able to do a recent imaging scan (CT chest/abdomen/pelvis or pelvic MRI) within 8 weeks before randomization.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and use two reliable birth-control methods during treatment and for 12 months after the last dose.
