Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older, with no upper age limit
  • Your cancer is HPV-related (HPV and/or p16 positive) and located in the oropharynx
  • Your scans show no spread to the lungs within about 12 weeks of starting treatment
  • You can take chemotherapy and your overall health is good enough (ECOG 0 to 2)
  • Your blood counts and organ function (kidney and liver) meet minimum levels before treatment
  • You have not had certain past treatments, like prior radiation to the head and neck
