Who can take part
- You must have HPV-positive (p16+) cancer in the throat or tonsil area.
- You must have smoked 10 pack-years or less in your life (about a pack a day for 10 years).
- A blood test must show a certain level of tumor HPV DNA (200 or more copies per milliliter).
- You cannot have had chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation for this cancer before.
- You cannot have other active cancers or have had a different cancer (except skin cancer) in the last 3 years.
