Who can take part

  • You are 12–17 years old at the first visit (and 12–19 years old at the later visit).
  • Your health is otherwise generally good, with obesity being the main issue.
  • You can safely do an MRI scan (no metal in your body, and you can lie flat inside).
  • You can do computer or paper thinking tests, in English, without major hearing/vision/language barriers.
  • You have had your puberty development checked and you are at Tanner stage II or higher.
  • Your weight must be under 450 pounds.
