Can blood sugar control affect brain development in type 1 diabetes?

Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 5 and 7 years old.
  • Your child must have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes less than 6 months ago.
  • Your child must use an insulin pump and a Dexcom continuous glucose monitor.
  • Your child's daily insulin dose must be at least 0.5 units per kilogram of body weight.
  • You (as parent or guardian) must be able to speak, understand, and read French.
  • Your child must not have any history of brain or nerve disease, or serious psychiatric conditions.
