Who can take part
- You have obesity with a BMI between 30 and 39.9
- You were born at an altitude under about 2,100 meters (7,000 feet)
- You currently live in or near Tallahassee, Florida
- You finished a full COVID-19 vaccine series at least 14 days before starting in-person study activities
- You cannot take certain medicines that affect breathing or oxygen (for 4 weeks before and during the study)
- You can spend 8 straight hours nightly in a home low-oxygen tent for 8 weeks
