Who can take part

  • You are 19 years or older
  • You have symptoms from poor blood flow in your legs, such as moderate/severe claudication or critical limb ischemia (Rutherford 2–5)
  • Your blockage is in the femoropopliteal (thigh/knee) artery and is complex (for example, long over 150 mm, prior stent that is re-narrowing, or heavily calcified)
  • Your procedure team believes you could be treated with either option: atherectomy plus a drug-coated balloon or a drug-coated balloon alone
  • You can sign informed consent
  • You do not have major conditions that block study medications or treatment safety (examples: serious drug allergies to key medicines, very high bleeding risk, or unable to receive contrast dye)
