Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 39 years old, and able to participate if you are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Understand the study instructions and score at least 80% on a short quiz (you get one retest if you miss)
  • Be able to maintain a usual sleep schedule and typically get about 6 to 9 hours of sleep per night
  • Do not have known sleep problems (such as insomnia or sleep apnea) or symptoms that suggest a sleep disorder
  • Be able to meet study lifestyle rules: no heavy caffeine or alcohol, and no regular cigarette smoking
  • Not be in another clinical trial, pass drug testing, and be willing/able to provide an ID number needed to be paid for participation
