This study tests a special exercise program (with muscle training and possible stimulation) soon after spinal cord injury to see how muscles and the body respond. It also includes healthy adults to compare measurements and biomarkers.

Who can take part
- If you have spinal cord injury (SCI), you must be 1–5 months past the injury
- SCI participants must be ages 18–85 and able to give consent
- You (or your control group) must be between 18–85 years old
- No recent major muscle injury or major surgery for healthy controls
- You cannot be pregnant
- You must not have medical risks that make electrical stimulation or MRI unsafe (or must be able to skip the MRI parts if only MRI is unsafe)
