Who can take part

  • You have a new diagnosis of a specific head and neck squamous cell cancer: larynx, hypopharynx, or mouth (oral cavity), or oropharynx that is p16-negative
  • Your cancer is stage III or IV but only in the head/neck area (no distant spread)
  • You need to be eligible for curative treatment with chemoradiation or a faster, higher-frequency radiation schedule
  • Your general health (ECOG) is 0 or 1, meaning you can do most daily activities
  • Your blood/organ tests show kidney and liver function are adequate
