Who can take part
- You must be preparing for a first live-donor kidney transplant for CKD stage 5
- Your age must be 18 to under 70
- Your blood type must match your donor (identical or compatible)
- Your immune test results must suggest low risk of rejecting the kidney (specific antibody tests and crossmatch must be negative/low)
- You and your living donor must both be able to consent and sign consent forms
- Your donor must also meet health and safety requirements, including a negative SARS-CoV-2 test
