Who can take part

  • You have advanced (stage IV) or recurrent/metastatic non-squamous lung cancer with an EGFR activating mutation (like exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R).
  • Your cancer has grown after prior EGFR pill therapy (and the exact timing depends on which part of the study you enter).
  • You are age 18 or older, and your general health is good enough for treatment (ECOG performance status 0 to 2).
  • You can provide tumor tissue from after your most recent progression (or you agree to a new biopsy).
  • You can start study drugs only after prior chemotherapy or radiation has been fully out of your system for a minimum time (about 3 weeks for chemo, 2 weeks for radiation).
  • You do not have certain lung or heart conditions that increase risk (especially active lung scarring/interstitial lung disease).
