Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older with bronchiectasis confirmed on a chest CT scan (HRCT).
  • Your bronchiectasis should be idiopathic or caused by a past infection (not cystic fibrosis).
  • You need at least 2 flare-ups (acute exacerbations) in the 1 year before starting the study.
  • You must not currently be a smoker (still smoking usually excludes).
  • You should not have major uncontrolled asthma or COPD, or serious heart, brain/nerve, liver, or kidney disease.
  • You should not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you should be able to take study treatment as required.
