Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 75 years old and weigh at least 45 kg
  • Your chest pain lasted 30 minutes or more and your ECG shows specific ST-segment changes of a heart attack
  • Your persistent chest pain started within the last 12 hours before you’re randomized
  • You are scheduled for a primary PCI (emergency stent procedure) between 30 and 120 minutes from now
  • You do not have serious bleeding risk or active bleeding, and you are not on blood thinners (anticoagulants)
