  • You are an adult (18+).
  • You are currently in the hospital, or you were admitted because your heart failure strongly contributed to the reason you were admitted.
  • A clinician agrees that heart failure is a key part of why you were admitted.
  • You are willing to participate and do not object to the research.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You can give consent yourself (or have a protected adult consent process), and you are not considered a vulnerable person by the study rules; you are not in custody or otherwise deprived of liberty.
