Who can take part
- You’re age 18 to 60, and have a confirmed diagnosis of nasopharyngeal cancer
- Your cancer is stage III or IVA and has not spread to distant organs (no metastasis)
- You haven’t had prior chemotherapy or radiation for this cancer before starting this study
- You can do daily activities reasonably well (Karnofsky score about 70 or higher, with limited flexibility)
- You have at least one measurable tumor spot that hasn’t been treated with local procedures
- Your blood and organ tests meet safety limits (for example, enough white blood cells, platelets, and kidney/liver function)
