Who can take part
- You are age 12 or older.
- You have one-sided deafness with uneven hearing (asymmetric hearing loss).
- Your deafness started after you learned language (postlingual), and you can do sentence-in-noise hearing tests.
- You can communicate in Chinese Mandarin (you must be able to participate without other language communication).
- You should not have certain inner-ear problems that affect the implant (a cochlear malformation, except a specific case called large vestibular aqueduct syndrome).
- Your implant must be fully placed with all required electrode contacts (no incomplete electrode implantation).
