Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older and were injured by trauma (serious injury).
- A clinician believes you are actively bleeding right now (active hemorrhage).
- Your care team has started an urgent response, such as activating the hospital’s massive/ emergency blood plan or giving emergency blood products.
- Your blood-clotting test suggests low clot strength or low fibrinogen (for example FibTEM A5 ≤ 10 mm, TEG FF A5 ≤ 15 mm, or FibC ≤ 2 g/L).
- You can be enrolled and randomized within 6 hours of arriving at the hospital (or presenting for care).
