Who can take part
- Age 50 to 85 (or age 35 to 50 if you have Down syndrome).
- You have early Alzheimer’s-related symptoms: mild memory/thinking issues due to Alzheimer’s, or for Down syndrome an Alzheimer’s pattern on a PET scan.
- A PET brain scan at screening must show amyloid deposits (a typical Alzheimer’s brain finding).
- For mild to moderate Down syndrome group: intellectual disability and a study partner who spends at least 10 hours per week with you.
- You can have the study brain tests, including MRI; the study may also involve a spinal tap for some people.
