Who can take part
- You must be age 1 to 39.
- You have craniopharyngioma confirmed (newly diagnosed by brain-scan review, or recurrent by prior diagnosis or confirmed tissue).
- You must be able to have surgery for biopsy or tumor removal; if surgery isn’t possible, the team may enroll you only if you can provide older tumor tissue slides/blocks.
- You must have adequate “body readiness” lab results (bone marrow, kidney, liver) and generally be stable enough to participate (activity level limits apply).
- If you are having (or recently had) treatments like chemotherapy or radiation, enough time must have passed since the last dose and you must be recovered from side effects.
- If you take dexamethasone (a steroid), your dose must be stable or decreasing for at least 1 week before starting the trial, and your steroid dose must be limited.
