Targeted medicine for children with certain brain or solid tumors

Low-grade GliomaAdvanced Solid Tumor

Treatments studied

Part of Brain & nervous system, Cancer clinical trials.

This Phase 2 study tests tovorafenib, a targeted cancer medicine, in children and young adults whose tumors have specific BRAF or RAF changes. It is for cancers that have come back or grown despite previous treatment, with measurable signs on scans.

Who can take part

  • You are a child or young adult with a relapsed or growing tumor (not improving).
  • For low-grade glioma: your tumor must have a known activating BRAF change, and scans show it is progressing.
  • For advanced solid tumors: your tumor must have a known or expected activating RAF fusion, and scans show it is progressing.
  • A pathologist must have confirmed the cancer under a microscope (at original diagnosis or relapse).
  • You must have already had at least one type of cancer treatment, and your scans must show radiographic progression.
  • You must have at least one measurable tumor spot that can be followed on scans (measurable lesion).

Vinblastine and tovorafenib for recurring pediatric low-grade glioma

This trial is testing a combination of two drugs, vinblastine and tovorafenib, for children and young adults (up to age 25) whose low-grade glioma has come back or worsened after prior treatment. It is for people whose tumor has a specific change in a gene called BRAF or CRAF.

Brain cancer drug combo for kids with BRAF mutations

This trial tests a combination of targeted therapy (dabrafenib and trametinib) and immunotherapy (nivolumab) for children and young adults with certain BRAF gene changes in their glioma. It aims to see if this drug combination can shrink tumors or stop them from growing.

Dabrafenib and trametinib for BRAF-mutated low-grade gliomas

This trial tests two targeted drugs (dabrafenib and trametinib) for children and young adults with a specific type of low-grade brain tumor that has a BRAF V600 mutation. The drugs work by blocking signals that help the tumor grow.

Drug FCN-159 vs chemo for children with low-grade glioma and BRAF change

This trial tests whether a new oral drug called FCN-159 works better than standard chemotherapy for children and teens with a slow-growing brain tumor (low-grade glioma) that has a specific change in the BRAF gene. The goal is to see if FCN-159 can shrink the tumor or stop it from growing.

Study medicine for BRAF-mutated advanced solid tumors

This Phase 1 trial studies how PF-07799544 works and what dose is safest in people with advanced cancer that has a specific genetic change called BRAF V600. You may receive it alone or with another treatment, depending on the tumor group, to see if it can treat the cancer.
