Who can take part

  • You must be age 55 or older (or younger adults ages 18–40).
  • You should be generally healthy and physically active, doing at least 90 minutes of activity per week.
  • You must not have physical problems that would stop you from changing your usual daily activity.
  • You cannot have a diagnosis of HIV, hepatitis, or tuberculosis.
  • Your body weight can’t have changed by more than 5% in the last 2 months.
  • You can’t have smoked in the last 2 months and can’t take medications that affect blood sugar.
