  • Be 21 years old or older
  • Have confirmed active pulmonary TB, with positive test results (smear, NAAT, or culture)
  • Start TB treatment within the past 14 days, or be about to start standard TB treatment
  • Chest X-ray must show lung involvement with one or more cavities
  • Be able to sign informed consent
  • Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
