Who can take part

  • You must be age 18 or younger when AML was first diagnosed (and 21 or younger at transplant).
  • You must have acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and your doctors must recommend a stem cell transplant with donated cells (not your own cells).
  • The transplant must be done at a hospital that is participating in this study.
  • You must not have certain other diseases (like MDS or JMML) instead of AML.
  • You must be healthy enough for chemotherapy (a poor activity score and major organ problems can disqualify you).
  • You must agree to the study and (if you can become pregnant) use reliable birth control and have a negative pregnancy test before treatment.
