  • Be 8 to 17 years old
  • Have obesity based on BMI for age (at least 2 standard deviations above the WHO median)
  • Be enrolled in the GHWM Clinic
  • Have NAFLD confirmed at the clinic (higher ALT blood test and fatty liver seen on clinic assessment, including liver fat)
  • Be able to do MRI for the study (not claustrophobic, no metal implants, and under 300 lbs)
