Who can take part
- You are 18 to 60 years old and can speak and understand English
- You meet depression diagnosis criteria for major depressive disorder
- Your symptoms score high enough on screening forms like PHQ-9, HDRS, or SHAPS
- You can read and understand the consent form and agree in writing to join and complete study visits
- You can safely have an MRI (no unsafe metal/implants or other MRI safety red flags)
- You can safely have rTMS (no unsafe metal near the treatment area and you pass the TMS safety screen)
