Who can take part
- You are getting an allogeneic stem cell transplant at CCHMC using a preparation plan that includes alemtuzumab, for a non-cancer (non-malignant) condition.
- You must not have had a dangerous allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to alemtuzumab.
- You must not have taken alemtuzumab before, unless your body has fully cleared it before the transplant preparation starts.
- You should be able to take injections under the skin (no severe skin problems that prevent this).
- You must be expected to live at least 4 weeks and be able to complete consent/assent and required study steps.
- You must not be on dialysis or plasmapheresis when the conditioning (transplant preparation) starts, and you must be able to provide study blood samples needed for drug testing/modeling.
