Who can take part
- You have osteoporosis with a bone strength test result (T-score) lower than -2.5
- Your spine fracture has collapsed the front part of the vertebra by more than two-thirds
- Your spine has a noticeable forward curve (kyphosis) of more than 20°
- Your imaging shows a measurement difference between a supine CT scan and standing X-ray (“accordion phenomenon”)
- The fractured vertebra is the right type of fracture (endplate fracture) and the vertebral body itself is still intact
- You’ve had major health problems before (like heart disease or cancer) and cannot tolerate traditional open surgery
