  • You are over 18 years old
  • You are having a chest (thoracic) surgery like a lung removal, lobectomy, or segmentectomy
  • Your overall health is limited but not severe (ASA 1, 2, or 3)
  • You are having surgery as an inpatient (not outpatient)
  • You are not pregnant and can speak English well enough to take part
