Who can take part
- You have a PFO seen on an ultrasound test (TEE) showing a right-to-left blood leak
- You had an unexplained stroke (cryptogenic) within the last 9 months, confirmed by CT or MRI
- You are between 18 and 60 years old
- Your heart tests do not show other major heart valve problems or heart muscle problems
- You do not have a known high-risk blood clot/bleeding condition, and you can take aspirin or clopidogrel
- Your blood vessels and health allow the TEE test and the device to be placed safely
