Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your diagnosis must be CMML (proliferative) or MDS/MPN overlap, confirmed by a bone marrow test, and not progressed to acute leukemia.
  • Your disease must be back after treatment or not responding (for example, after hydroxyurea, or after at least 4 cycles of a chemotherapy-like “hypomethylating” treatment, or if those treatments weren’t tolerated).
  • You must be well enough to do daily activities (ECOG 0–2) and your body must be back to near baseline from prior treatment side effects.
  • Blood and organ numbers must meet thresholds (like platelets, liver blood tests, and kidney filtration). Doctors may allow platelets below the cutoff if you can raise them with transfusions.
  • You must be willing to sign consent, return for follow-up visits, and provide required blood and bone marrow samples.
