Who can take part
- You’re between 18 and 65 years old and can understand and consent to the study.
- You’ve had pain on more than half the days over the past 6 months.
- You take a prescribed opioid pain medicine, and you can show proof of it (prescription bottle or PDMP record).
- You must be willing to lower your opioid dose by at least 10%.
- Your urine test must match your prescription opioid only (and be negative for illicit drugs, benzodiazepines, and nonprescribed opioids).
- You must not have certain ear or device issues, and you must not be on benzodiazepine medication.
