Check monitoring for high brain pressure after child head injury

Who can take part

  • A parent or guardian must sign and date consent for the study
  • Your child has a non-penetrating head injury (not from an object going into the head)
  • Your child must arrive to the study hospital within 24 hours of the injury
  • Your child is 1 to 12 years old
  • Your child’s brain/neurologic score (GCS) is low (≤ 8) on arrival or worsens to ≤ 8 within 48 hours
