Inhaled treprostinil for pulmonary hypertension with lung disease
Treatments studied
Part of Heart & circulation, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This program provides access to an inhaled medication called treprostinil for people who have pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) related to interstitial lung disease (a type of lung scarring). The treatment aims to improve symptoms and quality of life.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (lung scarring).
- Your diagnosis was made using a right heart catheterization (a test that measures pressures in the heart and lungs).

This study tests an inhaled powder medication called TPIP (treprostinil palmitil inhalation powder) to see if it can improve symptoms and exercise ability in people who have both interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. The study will compare TPIP against a placebo (a dummy treatment without the active drug) to understand how well it works and if it is safe.
This trial tests whether an inhaled medication called treprostinil (which helps open blood vessels in the lungs) can improve exercise ability in people who get high blood pressure in the lungs only during exercise. Participation involves taking the medication and doing exercise tests to see how well you do.
This trial tests an inhaled medication called treprostinil palmitil to see if it can slow the decline of lung function in people with progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF), a condition where lung scarring worsens over time. It's for people whose lung disease is getting worse despite standard care, and it may help preserve their breathing ability.
This trial tests an inhaled medicine that may help people with lung scarring or connective tissue disease who have high blood pressure in the lungs only during exercise. It aims to improve their ability to be active and reduce symptoms.
This Phase 3 trial tests whether inhaled treprostinil can slow progression of lung fibrosis (scarring) that keeps getting worse despite standard care. It also looks at safety, because inhaled medicine can cause side effects and needs careful monitoring.
This study tests a new dry powder inhaled medicine called LIQ861 for people with pulmonary hypertension related to lung scarring (PH-ILD). If you are already taking an inhaled treprostinil treatment but need better control, this trial may help you switch to a potentially easier-to-use version.
