Who can take part

  • You are an adult age 18 or older with a confirmed diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS)
  • Your APS diagnosis matches specific blood-test rules (positive antiphospholipid antibodies on two tests at least 12 weeks apart)
  • You also meet at least one APS “clinical” history category (blood clot in a vessel or certain pregnancy-related problems)
  • You can understand the study and sign informed consent
  • You do NOT already have certain known brain/nerve conditions (like prior stroke or cerebral vasculitis/lupus affecting the brain)
  • You can safely have an MRI with contrast (no gadolinium allergy, severe MRI/claustrophobia issues, incompatible implants, or kidney function too low)
