Who can take part

  • Be between 30 and 85 years old.
  • Have had a recent stroke shown on diffusion MRI, likely caused by artery-to-artery clotting, with brain artery narrowing of at least 60%.
  • Have intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis (narrowing from plaque) rather than another clear cause of stroke.
  • Be able to safely complete the planned imaging tests (no contraindications).
  • Be able and willing to follow the study schedule and give consent. (If you can’t, you may not qualify.)
