Who can take part

  • You do not currently smoke and have not smoked in the past 3 months
  • You do not have metabolic disease (like diabetes) or neurological (brain/nerve) disease
  • Your waist size meets the study cutoffs: men >102 cm or women >88 cm, or (if below) men <94 cm and women <80 cm
  • You do not take anti-hypertensive (blood pressure) medicines
  • You do not have diabetes, and your blood pressure is not in the study’s hypertension range based on a 24-hour blood pressure monitor (average must be below 130/80)
