This trial studies whether using “biofeedback” (seeing your body’s muscle signals on a screen) along with standard care can improve swallowing after a stroke. You might be eligible if you have ongoing swallow trouble and can safely do the training sessions.

Who can take part

  • Your swallow problem started from your first stroke injury
  • Your stroke happened more than 6 weeks ago
  • You currently have difficulty swallowing (dysphagia)
  • You can understand instructions well enough for testing (Token Test score 53 or higher)
  • You have usable vision and hearing, or you can correct them (like glasses/hearing aids)
  • Your neck/under-chin skin is healthy enough for the recording sensors (no infection, wound, or rash there)
