Tirofiban soon after tenecteplase for acute stroke flare

Acute Ischemic Stroke

Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests whether starting tirofiban soon after tenecteplase can improve outcomes for people whose stroke symptoms temporarily get worse after treatment. It aims to see if the added medicine can reduce harmful clot-related changes after initial thrombolysis.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your stroke symptoms changed within 4–24 hours after getting tenecteplase by vein—either they worsened significantly, fluctuated a lot, or your doctor notes a clear worsening pattern.
  • Your neurologic exam score (NIHSS) is at least 4 before randomization.
  • A CT/MRI after tenecteplase does NOT show brain bleeding.

NCT06045156Recruiting
Tirofiban after clot-busting for stroke

This trial tests whether giving tirofiban (a blood thinner) shortly after the standard clot-busting drug tenecteplase can improve recovery from a moderate stroke. It is for people who have had a stroke within the last few hours and do not have certain risk factors like irregular heart rhythm or recent bleeding.

Tirofiban after delayed clot-dissolving treatment for stroke

This trial tests if a medication called tirofiban can help people who had a stroke 4.5 to 24 hours ago and received clot-dissolving treatment (IVT). If you have had a stroke and your symptoms did not improve or got worse after IVT, this study might offer a way to prevent further disability.

NCT07290751Recruiting· Phase 4
Adding tirofiban to clot-busting for stroke patients

This trial tests whether adding a second medicine (tirofiban) to standard clot-busting treatment can help people who are not improving after the first hour. It is for people with a moderate to severe stroke who are not candidates for a clot-removal procedure.

Study of tirofiban after bridging therapy for stroke with artery blockage

This trial tests if a drug called tirofiban, given after clot removal and clot-busting medicine, can help people with a specific type of stroke caused by a hardened artery. It aims to see if it improves recovery and prevents new clots.

Combining clot removal and tirofiban for stroke

This trial tests adding the anti-clotting drug tirofiban to standard clot removal for people who have a stroke due to a narrowed artery in the brain. The goal is to see if this combination improves outcomes without raising bleeding risk.
