Radiation planning study to protect thinking in children

Who can take part

  • Your age is 1 to under 26 years (or at least 5 for one part of the study)
  • Your tumor is in the brain or very close to the brain (such as the nose-area or eye area)
  • You are either starting radiation now (or planning to start) or previously received brain radiation, depending on the study group
  • If you already had radiation, at least 2 years must have passed since radiation began, and there must be no tumor recurrence
  • You must be able to do thinking tests; you may be excluded if you can’t complete these tests (for example, if you can’t follow English instructions)
