Biceps treatment during rotator cuff repair

Supraspinatus Tear

Part of Bones, joints & muscles clinical trials.

This study looks at how to treat the biceps tendon when someone is getting surgery for a rotator cuff tear. It may help improve outcomes after surgery and recovery, especially when there is also a supraspinatus tear.

NCT05590494Recruiting
New treatment for partial rotator cuff shoulder tears

This trial tests a new approach for people with a partial (not full) tear of the rotator cuff, found on MRI. It may help improve shoulder function if your tear matches the study’s specific size and location rules.

NCT07311616Not yet recruiting
Preventing shoulder stiffness after rotator cuff surgery

This study tests if an extra release of certain tissues during rotator cuff repair can help prevent shoulder stiffness after surgery. It is for people with small or medium tears that can be fixed with a scope.

NCT06774820Recruiting
Biceps tendon surgery alongside rotator cuff repair study

This study is testing a new surgical technique for repairing a torn rotator cuff while also addressing the biceps tendon. It aims to see if adding this biceps procedure improves recovery and outcomes for people with full-thickness tears.

NCT07657689Not yet recruiting
Shoulder tendon repair using the biceps tendon for support

This trial tests whether using part of the biceps tendon can help repair a torn supraspinatus tendon in the shoulder. It may offer a stronger option for workers with a common type of rotator cuff tear that hasn't healed with therapy or needs surgery after an injury.

NCT07394348Not yet recruiting
Rotator cuff repair with biceps surgery: recovery

This study looks at how repairing a torn rotator cuff (a group of muscles around the shoulder) along with addressing a damaged biceps tendon affects recovery. It helps see which surgical approach works best for people with both issues.

NCT07568392Not yet recruiting
Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair Surgery Trial

This trial studies a specific surgical approach to repair medium to large rotator cuff tears (a common shoulder injury) using minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery combined with biceps tendon repair. It aims to evaluate outcomes in patients who are good candidates for this type of surgery.
