Who can take part

  • You have confirmed prostate cancer (adenocarcinoma) based on biopsy or tests
  • Your prostate cancer is “low to intermediate risk” (per standard risk categories)
  • You have never had prostate cancer treatment and have never had hormone (androgen deprivation) therapy
  • You must be able to safely have HDR brachytherapy, likely with general anesthesia, as your radiation doctor decides
  • Your daily functioning is limited but you’re still able to do most activities (ECOG less than 2)
  • If you have HIV or hepatitis B/C, your virus levels must be controlled as required by the study
