Tucatinib and T-DM1 for HER2-positive brain-metastasis tumors

Metastatic Solid TumorBrain Metastases

Treatments studied

Part of Brain & nervous system, Cancer clinical trials.

This Phase 2 study tests tucatinib plus T-DM1 (ado-trastuzumab emtansine) in people with HER2-positive metastatic solid tumors that have spread to the brain. It aims to shrink brain and body tumors and help control cancer that is progressing in the brain.

  • Your brain MRI shows brain metastases that do not need urgent local treatment right away.
  • You have measurable tumor outside the brain or at least evaluable disease.
  • You can be any age 18 or older, and you can do your usual daily activities (ECOG 0–2).

Enhertu plus precise radiation for HER2+ breast cancer brain tumors

This trial tests a combination of a targeted drug (Enhertu) with precise radiation (SRS) for people whose HER2-positive breast cancer has spread to the brain. It aims to see if this combo is safe and effective for treating brain metastases.

Tucatinib plus oral chemo and trastuzumab for metastatic HER2+ breast cancer

This Phase 2 trial studies tucatinib combined with oral etoposide and trastuzumab in people with metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer, aiming to slow cancer growth. You may be eligible if you previously had progression on a similar HER2-targeted treatment or cannot take capecitabine for medical reasons.

T-DXd with or without neratinib for HER2+ breast cancer brain metastases

This trial tests whether adding neratinib to T-DXd (trastuzumab deruxtecan) works better than T-DXd alone for women with HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to the brain. It is for those who have not had these specific drugs before.

NCT06250777Enrolling by invitation· Phase 2
T-DXd for HER2-mutant lung cancer with brain metastases

This trial tests a drug called T-DXd in people with advanced non-squamous lung cancer that has a specific HER2 gene change (mutation) and has spread to the brain but isn't causing symptoms. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink tumors and help control the cancer.

Tucatinib and capecitabine plus spinal trastuzumab for HER2+ cancer

This Phase 2 trial tests a combination of tucatinib and capecitabine (taken by mouth) plus trastuzumab delivered into the spinal fluid, to treat breast cancer that has spread to the leptomeninges (lining around the brain/spinal cord). It may help reduce cancer activity in the spinal fluid and improve symptoms.

T-DXd for HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to the brain

This trial tests how well an imaging test can predict the effectiveness of the drug T-DXd in people with HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to the brain. It aims to see if a special scan can help guide treatment.
