Who can take part

  • You are currently in the hospital for worsening heart failure symptoms like swelling or shortness of breath.
  • You have been on strong IV water pills (diuretics) but they aren't removing enough fluid.
  • You still have signs of fluid buildup, such as swollen legs, high neck vein pressure, or belly swelling, after trying higher doses of IV diuretics.
  • You are at least 21 years old and can agree to participate.
  • If you could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test before starting.
