Who can take part
- Be age 18–45 and either healthy (lean or overweight) or have isolated GH deficiency
- For healthy volunteers: no medical conditions besides being overweight/obese, and no prescription drugs
- For healthy volunteers: blood pressure and diabetes screening tests must be in a normal range (no diabetes)
- For GH-deficient volunteers: isolated GH deficiency diagnosis from an official stimulation test within the last 12 months, and no GH treatment in the last 12 months
- If you can become pregnant: you must use nonhormonal birth control during the study
- No smoking, major recent weight change, pregnancy/breastfeeding, or very heavy exercise right around screening
