Who can take part
- Be age 2 to 9 years
- Be scheduled for general anesthesia (a medically induced sleep)
- You may or may not need an arterial line (a small tube to monitor blood pressure/blood gases)
- You must NOT have cyanotic congenital heart disease (a type of heart problem that causes low oxygen)
- You must NOT have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners
