Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 1 month and 18 years old
  • Your child is scheduled for a heart catheterization (a test where a thin tube goes into a blood vessel to check the heart)
  • Your child has not taken part in this study before
  • Your child does not have a bluish color that differs between body parts (differential cyanosis)
  • Your child is not getting a medicine that tightens blood vessels (vasoconstrictor) through an IV just before the procedure
  • Your child does not have a mechanical heart pump (ventricular assist device / VAD)
